Stephen McFeely has revealed the idea they had for that epic moment and in which there was pizza in between.
One of the most epic moments of Avengers: Endgame is the return of all the missing in Avengers: Infinity War. Just when Steve Rogers / Captain America (Chris Evans) is the only one standing to face Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his army, the voice of Sam Wilson / Falcon (Anthony Mackie) announces the arrival of the victims of the click, which they do it through the portals of Stephen Strange / Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong). Each superhero and superheroine has its moment in that scene, but the scriptwriters of the film have recognized that one of the first ideas they had regarding the return of the fallen was "scary" and there was pizza in between.
"We had one where everyone was returning to the same place, to the venue, like: 'Click. Boom. There they are," Stephen McFeely said during the San Diego Comic-Con. "Do you hear: 'Mr. Stark?' And there Peter appears around the corner. Then we cut five minutes and they are all eating pizza. It was awful," he adds.
