Christopher Nolan has released Tenet, his new film, on August 26. It has become No. 1 at the Spanish box office with a cast featuring actors John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, and Robert Pattinson. It just so happens that the latter plays Bruce Wayne in The Batman, the new version of The Batman being shot by Matt Reeves and which opens in theaters On October 1, 2021. Tenet's recording already knew that Pattinson would bring Gotham's watchman to life and Nolan, director of the Dark Knight trilogy, has said he's looking forward to seeing the actor's work.

Speaking to CNA, Christopher Nolan has commented that both he and Robert Pattinson maintained "a respectful silence" about the signing of the second as the new Batman. But... this changed when Tenet's filming was almost finished. "Of course, he didn't ask me for any advice," explained the British filmmaker. "We kept a respectful silence on the subject until almost the end of filming. We said a few things and made a couple of jokes. We had a little conversation about the various aspects of what was going to happen. But I was excited about your signing. I think he's going to do an excellent job and I'm really excited to see what he's doing with the character."

Once the coronavirus pandemic is controlled, the filming of The Batman will go-ahead to meet its October release date next year. We've seen the first teaser trailer for the film in the last DC FanDome and the Dark Knight of Reeves could end up being the most realistic and raw of all we know.
