The first official preview of Denis Villeneuve's long-awaited film will debut 'online' on September 9.
Dune, an adaptation prepared by Denis Villeneuve on Frank Herbert's science fiction novel, will hit theaters, if coronavirus permits, on December 18 of this year. Warner Bros. has confirmed that on September 9, Wednesday, it will publish 'online' the first teaser trailer for the film. But the advance is already offered in some cinemas with Christopher Nolan's Tenet, which is why it is already leaked through the Internet. In addition, Empire magazine has disseminated two new images with Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, and Javier Bardem.

Empire, which has just released photos and three covers about the film - one of them, that of subscribers, with an arena worm - shared two other snapshots today. In the first, Duke Leto Atreides looks to infinity while his concubine, Lady Jessica, does not take an eye off him. In the second, the Spaniard Javier Bardem shows his distillery as Stilgar.

"It's about the fate of a group of people and the different way cultures have dominated others," Isaac explains the length of the publication. "How do people respond when they are at a critical moment when enough is enough when they are exploited? All those things are things we're seeing around the world right now." Villeneuve also referred to Lady Jessica this way: "I didn't want it to be an expensive extra. One thing I love about the book is that there was a strong balance between male power and female power."

Warner and the Canadian filmmaker will bring the first half of Frank Herbert's original play, published in 1965, to film in Dune. The action revolves around the Atreides family, composed of Duke Leto, his concubine Lady Jessica, and his son Paul. At the command of Shaddam IV, emperor of the known universe, the three movements with their own from the fruitful Caladan to the desertertic Arrakis, also nicknamed Dune and the only source in the entire melange galaxy, a drug-spice indispensable for the operation of the Empire. In the cast, among others, you'll also find Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard Sharon, and Duncan-Brewster. The 'major' also develops the prequel series Dune: The Sisterhood for HBO Max.
